ECP clubs Faizabad Dharna, TLP Registration Cancellation Case

ISLAMABAD, May 6 (INP): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday clubbed Faizabad dharna and a plea seeking cancellation of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) registration, summoning officials of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). This decision came during hearing on a plea seeking cancellation of TLP as a political party. A two-member ECP bench headed by Punjab Member Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi took up the case. On this occasion, ECP gave more respite to the committee constituted for probing into funding sources of TLP which is being headed by DG Law Mohammad Arshad. Whereas, secretary interior ministry submitted a report in the ECP.
