FAPUASA & Higher Education Working Group emphasize over transparency in short listing process of new HEC Chief

ISLAMABAD, April 02 (INP): Through a letter addressed to members of search committee for appointment of new chairperson Higher Education Commission (HEC), Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA), an elected representative body of universities’ faculty and Working Group on Higher Education Reforms, an independent think tank comprising of higher education experts, analysts & senior academicians have emphasized over transparent and merit based appointment of HEC Chief. Appreciating the efforts for initiation of the process to appoint new chairperson Federal Higher Education Commission (HEC) on merit, Dr. Shehzad Ashraf Central Executive committee member & President FAPUASA Islamabad/ member Working Group on Higher Education Reforms stated that it was matter of utmost satisfaction that the first phase including advertisement of the position as well as submission of applications/nominations had been successfully accomplished.
