FPCCI seeks inputs on regulatory duty

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (INP): FPCCI President Mr. Zubair F. Tufail has asked the business community to give their inputs and suggestions regarding the regulatory duties imposed on imports of different items. He has also specifically asked for the problems and difficulties if any to be faced by the new import regulatory duties, particulary for Raw Materials. FPCCI has also setup a special cell to monitor the overall impact of the new duties on imports. FPCCI will submit a comprehensive analysis of the overall affects for the additional duties on imports and any adverse affects or problems faced by importers and manufacturers and hike in price for the consumers to the government. Ministry of Finance, to discourage the imports in order to check the ballooning trade deficit had levied the regulatory duty on 731 items that are included in the imports basket of Pakistan.
