Fundraising for dams continues across the globe, $0.3m collected in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY, Dec 11 (INP): Fundraising for Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams continues across the globe and 300,000 dollars were collected in New Jersey.
The ceremony in connection with the raising for the two dams was organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) New York.
PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan was chief guest on the occasion. The ceremony was attended by business community, Pakistani doctors and other personalities who generously donated in the dam fund and $300,000 were collected on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Faisal Javed lauded the passion of overseas Pakistani donators and said the collected amount will be deposited in account of CJP’s dam fund.
He further stated it was only the zeal of the overseas Pakistanis which helped in collecting one million dollars for dams in half an hour in Dubai.
Acting Consul General of Pakistani Consulate Naeema and Arif Khan also attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that construction of dams was vital to security future of the country.
