Haven't fled, will return to Pakistan soon: Khawaja Asif

WASHINGTON, Dec 22 (INP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Asif has rejected reports of him fleeing abroad and said that he is in the US to meet his daughters and will return to Pakistan soon.
Speaking to a private Tv news channel on the phone, Asif said, “I am in the US at the moment visiting my daughters and will return soon”.

The former foreign minister’s family is already in the US, whom he joined two weeks ago after being asked to stay back by former premier Nawaz Sharif. However, reports stating that Asif fled the country to avoid being caught by National Accountability Bureau have been floating around.
