SRINAGAR, Aug 04 (INP): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained JKLF Chairman, Mohammad Yaseen Malik, languishing in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian rulers were power intoxicated to such an extent that they themselves disobeyed and disrespected their own laws.
Saddened by the details given in a press conference by sisters of Yasin Malik, he said that fascist forces were drenched with the venom of revenge and hatred which made their attitude towards helpless prisoners not only pathetic, careless but criminal as well.
He said that whenever somebody was jailed it was responsibility of the authorities to ensure his safety and when the person was already suffering from various ailments, he should be provided timely medical care.
The APHC Chairman said that Yasin Malik was suffering from heart and kidney ailments and needed regular medical care and if authorities were reluctant to provide him medical aid they should release him so that we take care of him ourselves.
The APHC chairman said, India for its accused citizens knock the doors of international courts and tries its best to get justice and fair play for them, but when it comes to poor Kashmiris, it acts as deaf and dumb.
He said, most of the prisoners particularly those outside Kashmir are not keeping well as they neither get proper diet, or timely medical aid nor they get the legal assistance. They include Shabir Ahmad Shah, Masarat Aalam Butt, Dr G M Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Nahida Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Shahi-ul-Islam, Fraooq Ahmad Dar, Zahoor Ahmad Watali, Syed Shahid Yousuf and Syed Shakeel Ahmad.
He appealed to the human and prisoners’ rights bodies to at least acknowledge the slow poising of our people in Indian jails and ensure their safety.
Commenting on the war scenario in the territory created by Indian fascist rulers, Syed Ali Gilani said, “We all need to fight it out collectively with unity and brotherhood, as it is Muslims of this territory who are targeted.”
He urged the world powers particularly the Muslim world to take serious note of this grim situation and help Kashmiris to be rescued from the cruel and barbaric clutches of India.
