ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (INP) Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal left for the United States on Tuesday on three-day visit. He will attend annual meeting of the World Bank and the World Bank. He will be representing Pakistan instead of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar who is appearing in the accountability court these days. The 2017 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund will be held between 13th to 15th October in Wahsington. At the Annual Meetings, the joint World Bank Group-IMF Development Committee and the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee convene to discuss the work of the institutions. The Plenary Session of the World Bank Group and IMF Boards of Governors is also held during the Annual Meetings. During the Meetings, the World Bank Group and the IMF also help organize and host a number of related meetings of groups of country delegations, such as the G-20, G-24, Commonwealth, BRICS, as well as the Program of Seminars and other events beginning on Tuesday, October 10. In addition to speaking at the World Bank and IMF meetings, the Minister will address a conference on Mutual Coordination in South Asia and deliver lecture on Pakistan's strategy in war against terror at Johns Hopkins University.
