Several major water-sector schemes have advanced, with Kachhi Canal Phase-I fully completed and multiple irrigation and water-supply projects posting strong progress under PSDP 2026-27.

According to a document available with Wealth Pakistan, the remaining works of Kachhi Canal Phase-I have also advanced substantially, recording 99.210% physical and 109.830% financial progress, with the throw-forward standing at Rs11.324 billion.

Progress has also been recorded on the Kaitu Weir Irrigation & Power Project Component-I of Kurram Tangi Multipurpose Dam, which has reached 78.890% physically and 110.990% financially. Its throw-forward stands at Rs876 million.

The revised project for installation of a telemetry system for real-time discharge monitoring at 27 key sites in the Indus Basin Irrigation System has achieved 71.950% physical and 83.210% financial progress, with a throw-forward of Rs5.754 billion.

The feasibility study, detailed engineering design, tender documents and PC-I for the Jacobabad, Shikarpur and Kashmore Drainage Project is another scheme close to completion, recording 99% physical and 60.510% financial progress. The throw-forward stands at Rs315.8 million.

The Project Planning and Development Unit (PPDU), under its revised PC-II, has achieved 55% physical and 52.120% financial progress, with a throw-forward of Rs654 million.

The Kachhi Canal Project for the restoration of flood damage from 2022 has reached 67.320% physical and 48.410% financial progress. Its throw-forward is listed at Rs4.872 billion.

Meanwhile, the remodelling of the Pat Feeder Canal System in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district stands at 5.5% physical and 16.18% financial progress, with a throw-forward of Rs35.64 billion.

Water-supply projects are also moving ahead. The project to improve the Kalri Baghar Feeder and Keenjhar Lake for K-IV has reached 78% physical and financial progress, with a throw-forward of Rs200 million.

The Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme K-IV, 260 MGD Phase-I, has achieved 57.530% physical and 79.160% financial progress, while its throw-forward stands at Rs16.978 billion.

Under flood-risk management, the project for Flood Management Enhancement in the Indus Basin under JICA grant has reached 16% physical and 5.680% financial progress, with a throw-forward of Rs4.884 billion.

The updated Umbrella PC-I of the Flood Protection Sector Project-III carries a throw-forward of Rs194.612 billion, with no physical or financial progress.
