June 26, 2019

ISLAMABAD, June 26 (INP): Former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has strongly rebutted the allegation about the misuse of dollar 35 billion by the former PML (N).

In a recorded statement received here on Wednesday, he said “I strongly rebut the malicious WhatsAPP message regarding misuse of $ 35 billion foreign debts through private Limited companies (PLSs)”

This is a malicious propaganda against him, circulated through the social media, what he contended by the government of Imran Khan Niazi.

He was the view that the transacting such a big amount to private companies is not possible, since the law of the land does not allow it. The matters relating to foreign debts are done through the coordination of the various relevant departments like Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Pakistan.

He said, this is totally lie, blaming the previous government about the misuse of foreign debt, as all transaction to this effect is fully documented, and its record is available with the government.

He demanded if there is any sense in such allegation, the government should make it public since such kind of allegation brings bad name to the country abroad, he added.
