KARACHI, Oct 04 (INP): A major power breakdown in Karachi left many parts of the city affected on Thursday morning. The affected areas include Defence View, Teachers Society, Defense Housing Authority, Model Colony, and Malir. Other areas affected were Tariq Bin Ziad Colony, Gulberg, parts of Clifton, Akhtar Colony, Kashmir Colony, and Mehmoodabad. This was the third outage in Karachi in the past three days. If you charge extra if a customer pays bill after due date, then there must be some punishment or fine for @KElectricPk too. [timed-content-server show="10/05/2018 01:00 Asia/Karachi"]118 no longer takes calls. We pay bills and KE doesn’t even offer a customer service helpline? Just a recording on loop? Shutting power every night when it’s time for people to sleep ... every single day? Burn in hell! According to the power supplier, increased humidity resulted in the tripping of the EHT Network. After few hours the power supplier tweeted electricity has been restored at the airport, Dhabeji, and Gharo pumping stations of the Water Board along with Civil Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, the Sindh Assembly, and Governor House. In addition, power supply to Gulshan-e-Maymar, Jacob Line, North Karachi and Gulistan-e-Jauhar has also been restored. Partial power supply from the National Grid has been restored successfully. Electricity in the remaining affected areas to be restored soon, K-Electric said. INP/LK[/timed-content-server]
