Majority of Pakistanis want elections on scheduled time

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (INP) According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, a significant majority of Pakistanis (63%) opine that the next elections should be held at their scheduled time in 2018. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “As you know that every five years there are elections in Pakistan. Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has recently called for an early election (i.e. before the next elections in 2018). Do you think the next elections should be held at their scheduled time - 2018 or should they be held early?” In response to this question, 37% said they should be held earlier, and 63% said they should be held at their scheduled time in 2018.
