Maryam greets PML-N's 'lions' for winning majority in Senate

GUJRAT, March 04 (INP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz congratulated on Sunday, party’s workers and freshly elected senators, backed by the party, on winning majority in Senate elections 2018. Daughter of former premier Nawaz Sharif addressed a political rally in Gujrat and said that Allah Almighty made Nawaz Sharif succeed on Senate’s front and reiterated that the people stand against verdicts of the top court against former PML-N president. She said that ‘people’s courts’ are delivering verdict in favour of the federally ruling party time and again. After Nawaz was ousted as premier of Pakistan last year, the verdict was rejected by the people through victory of PML-N’s candidate in Lodhran NA-154 by-election. Maryam rhetorically asked alleged elements behind Nawaz’s ouster as premier what did they gain out of it. Nawaz Sharif resides in the hearts of the people, she said and added that certain forces were not getting what the people of Pakistan were saying. She complained that certain elements wanted vengeance with Nawaz so bad that punishment for him was announced before the probe concluded. INP/AK
