Million March: Haq expresses solidarity with Palestinians

KARACHI, Dec 17 (INP): Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq has stressed upon the need of honest leadership for the independence of Kashmir and Baitul Muqaddas on Sunday. While addressing the Al-Quds Million March, against the United States’ recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, Sirajul Haq said that JI wanted to unite the ‘Ummah’ as a family. He expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine. The ‘Al-Quds million march’ intended to express solidarity with Palestinians and protest against US President Donald Trump’s recent decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. The march originated from University Road, moving forward to Urdu University and then concluded at Hasan Square. Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Siraj ul Haq had announced to hold million march last week against the US decision to convey a message to their Palestinian brothers that the entire Muslims across the world were with them. Jamaat-e-Islami million march against US Jerusalem move will start on Sunday from Nipa Chowrangi and culminate at Hassan Squar. JI has set up camps at the key points at all roads in Karachi to facilitate to participants of the million march. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehan, JI’s Karachi chief visited the camps on Friday night and also held meetings with different delegations of people. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehan also distributed hand bills and urged to masses to participate in the march. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehan also held meetings with Allama Muhammad Salfi, Maulana Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, Mufti Muhammad Zubair and leaders of Karachi Bar Association who announced their support for the million march.
