Nairobi hotel attack is over, all gunmen killed: Kenyan President

NAIROBI, Jan 16 (INP) Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has claimed that all the attackers behind Nairobi hotel attack have been killed. In a state run television address, the President said that 17-hour hostage crisis is over. He confirmed that 14 civilians were killed in the assault. The President said that more than 700 civilians were evacuated from the complex. It may be recalled that at least one suicide bomber blew him-self up and gunmen engaged security forces in numerous shootouts during the assault on the compound. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the assault.
