ISLAMABAD, Aug 03 (INP): The opposition parties will give tough time to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allies in the presidential election to be held in September this year. There are total 706 votes for electoral colleges and 354 votes are required to win the presidential election. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allies have total 308 votes while the opposition parties including PML-N and PPP have total 299 votes besides 66 independent votes. The independents’ votes would play decisive role in the Presidential election. The Senate has 104 votes, National Assembly 342, Balochistan Assembly 65, Punjab and KP assemblies have one vote on more than five MPAs The PTI has 250 votes, Pml-N 131, PPP 116, MMA 35, MQM 21, GDA 8, ANP 11 TLP 1, BNP 11 and PAP has 20 votes. If the opposition parties get the support of independent candidates, it can also elect its President.
