Pakistan pays rich tributes to Kimihide Ando

Islamabad, April 28 (INP): Diplomatic and business circles paid rich tributes to Kimihide Ando, CEO, Mitsubishi Corporation of Pakistan for his extra-ordinary contribution towards the promotion of Pak-Japan socio-economic ties.

 

He acted as ambassador strengthening the two countries’ decades’ old friendly ties, said Ehson M. Malik, Chief Executive Pakistan Business Council and Irfan Wahab Khan, Chief Executive officer Telenor Pakistan.

 

Ando earned great praise at a reception hosted by Japanese ambassador Takashi Kurai here last night to celebrate the conferment of Saitara-i-Pakistan by the President of Pakistan upon him on 23rd March 2018.

The speakers including the ambassador deliberated upon his 13-year long services in Pakistan and said he was a bridge between the business community of the two countries,

 

They lauded his qualities of head and heart, stating that he and his spouse took Pakistan as their second home and delivered the best in promoting true spirit of friendship between the two countries.

Irfan Wahab Khan said Mr. Ando is a genuine patriotic friend of Pakistan and a true explorer who believes in opportunities.

Ehsan malik, Secretary General Pakistan Business Council said Ando is a great ambassador of Pakistan and we want many more like him in our business community.

Kimihide Ando in his brief remarks on the occasion said that he found Pakistan as best part of the World in term of rich culture and social values. 

There are ample business opportunities in Pakistan that could be further explored for the country’s uplift and better living of the people, he added.

 

Ambassador Kurai in his address congratulated Ando for receiving the Sitara-i-Pakistan which is the result of his passionate and selfless dedication towards exploring and advancing the business opportunities in Pakistan.

Ambassador said 23rd March 2018 is a memorable day for Mr. Ando, Mitsubishi Company, whole Japanese business community and for Japan as a country. We are proud of receiving this award.

I am impressed the way Mr. Ando worked in broader perspective for the development of this country and for this region as a whole, said Ambassador.

“Mr. Ando loves Pakistan and its people. It is an honour for Japanese government to see a Japanese citizen awarded this prestigious award. This will put impetus to further strengthen the bilateral relations” Ambassador Kurai said.

Ambassador also expressed his optimism about the 5th High Level Economic Policy Dialogue which was held in Islamabad on 26th April and hoped that  this consultation will help further strengthen relations between the two countries.

 Mr. Ando thanked the ambassador for hosting the reception to celebrate the conferment of  Sitara-i-Pakistan upon him by the government of Pakistan. He  thanked the Pakistani people he had an opportunity to interact or work with during his stay in Pakistan and for making him more passionate about Pakistan. Pakistani people and its business community strengthened my confidence in Pakistan.
