AUCKLAND, Jan 25 (INP) – Pakistan have on Thursday thrashed New Zealand by 48 runs in the second Twenty20 International (T20I) and leveled the three-match series 1-1. The Green Shirts had set a 202-run target for the hosts after winning the toss and deciding to bat first. The Blackcaps were bowled out on 153 runs in 18.3 overs. Openers Fakhar Zaman and Ahmed Shehzad gave a wonderful start to Pakistan and set a solid base. Zaman hit his maiden T20I fifty, followed by Babar Azam’s half-century. Ahmed Shehzad and Sarfraz Ahmed were both dismissed in their 40s. Faheem Ashraf remained the pick of the bowlers who sent three batsmen to the pavilion. Amir and Shadab picked up two wickets apiece.
