Pakistani wrestlers all set to take on Indian behemoths in Commonwealth games

February 20, 2018

LAHORE, Feb 20 (INP) – Pakistani wrestlers are determined to beat arch-rivals in the Commonwealth games being held after four years. The games are going to commence on April 4th in Australia. The event will feature 70 countries who will take part in a bouquet of 18 games. Pakistani wrestlers have complained of lack of governmental support, but they are determined to beat Indians tooth and nail. They are of the view that the Indian government has spent around 25 crores on their team while Pakistan’s total budget for the sport is no more than 1.8 million. Furthermore, Pakistani team has gone on only 10 foreign visits in four years while the Indian team has done the same in just one year. Despite being underdogs, Pakistani men are high-spirited and confident of surprises in the tournament. Inp/khan
