PIA affairs come under scrutiny in NA, PAC

: Deputy Speaker directs FIA to submit PIA aircraft sale inquiry report in one month: --Khursheed Shah irked at PIA’s dismal state ISLAMABAD , Oct 10 (INP) Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi on Tuesday directed Federal Investigation Agency to complete probe into sale of flight-worthy Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft and present its report to the standing committee in one month. A call-attention notice was submitted by Member of National Assembly Aliya Kamran Shahida Akhtar Ali, Asiya Nasir and Naeema Kishwer Khan to invite attention of the Minister for Aviation to a matter of urgent public importance regarding missing aircraft of Pakistan International Airline used in a film made in Malta wherein the struggle of Palestinians was negatively portrayed, causing grave concern amongst the public. The notice said that the aircraft was used by Israel for filming against Palestine. INP/AH/LK
