May 16, 2019

ISLAMABAD, May 16 (INP): Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has expressed reservations on the sharp surge in dollar rate in the open market as it touched Rs148 on Thursday morning.

Taunting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), senior PPP leader Sherry Rehman lashed out on the rupee devaluation and called it another failed tactic of the ‘revolutionary government’.

[timed-content-server show="05/17/2019 01:00 Asia/Karachi"]“Dollar has reached an all-time high in country’s economic history. It is the second time a surge has been witnessed. The revolutionary government is breaking its own records of failure”, Sherry said. She said that the federal government’s ‘Anti-public’ decisions have made it miserable for an ordinary countryman to survive. “I hope that Prime Minister Imran Khan will take notice on the issue after viewing the issue on television”, the PPP stalwart concluded.
