PTI habitual of blaming former governments before hiking prices: Miftah Ismail

ISLAMABAD, Oct 16 (INP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former finance minister Miftah Ismail has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is habitual of blaming former government as an excuse before hiking price of any commodity. Talking to a private TV channel here on Tuesday, Miftah Ismail said that after increase in gas price, increase in electricity tariff will put additional huge burden on the masses. He said that the PML-N government used to take the burden of Rs10-12 billion deficit in the power sector, while PTI is burdening the masses instead of decreasing the deficit. Rebutting claims of addition of Rs400 circular debt, the former finance minister said that the PML-N government got Rs503 billion in debt while it left Rs492 billion.
