Purchase of expensive train engines: NAB summons three officials of PRs on Nov 26

LAHORE, Nov 24 (INP): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned three officials of Pakistan Railway ?on November 26 in a scandal regarding purchase of expensive train engines. According to details, the officials have alleged former minister Khawaja Saad Rafique of assistance in ?this regard. Earlier, Lahore High Court (LHC) had extended the interim bail of former ministers Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique in Paragon Housing Society scandal till November 26. Following the NAB’s corruption probe on October 15, LHC had accepted Pakistan Muslim League ?Nawaz (PML-N) leaders’ interim bail till October 24 while they were again granted bail extension till November 14 In November 2017, NAB had launched its investigation into a mega land scam involving then Railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique’s Paragon Housing Society in Lahore and Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC).
