LAHORE, Feb 07 (INP): The decision to not form a judicial commission to probe the Sahiwal tragedy in which four people were killed by the officials of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Ehtisham, brother of a victim, filed a petition on Thursday against the decision of not forming a judicial commission in the Sahiwal incident. The petition was filed by Advocate Syed Farhad Ali Shah on behalf of Ehtisham.
[timed-content-server show="02/08/2019 01:00 Asia/Karachi"]The petition stated that Zeeshan, the victim, has been wrongly termed a terrorist. Zeeshan, according to the petition, was innocent and was not involved in any criminal activity. The petition further states that a judicial commission should be formed to probe the Sahiwal incident and a case should be registered against those responsible for the death of Zeeshan and three others. Last week, chairing a high-level meeting in Lahore, Prime Minister Imran Khan had ascertained that a judicial commission would be formed to probe the Sahiwal incident. INP/AJ[/timed-content-server]
