Sri Lanka likely to hire Mushtaq Ahmed after Murali’s retirement

COLOMBO, April 18 (INP) – Sri Lankan cricket board is likely to hire former Pakistani Spin master Mushtaq Ahmed as spin bowling coach after the retirement of Muttiah Muralitharan.
Although Sri Lankan team already has a ready-made coach in the form of Rangana Herat, the 40-year old cricketers is gearing up to retire and take a break from the sport.
Mushtaq Ahmed will work with the support staff of Sri Lanka along with the recruitment and training of young spin bowlers.
Mushtaq Ahmed has already served as coach of Pakistan and England, which makes him hot favorite for the post.
