Three policemen martyred, two terrorists killed in attack on Gilgit check post

GILGIT, Aug 11 (INP): At least three policemen were martyred and two terrorist also killed in exchange of fire when some unidentified armed men attacked at check post in Kargah Nullah area here on the wee hours of Saturday. According to police sources, unidentified armed suspected terrorists opened fire at Kargah check post, in which two policemen were martyred, while two other police personnel wounded in the incident. Police and rescue teams were dispatched to the crime scene soon after the attack. Two injured policemen were shifted to district headquarter hospital for medical treatment. GB government spokesperson Faizullah Faraq paid tribute to the martyred personnel and said that security has been put on high alert across the province.
