UN Chief stresses political solution to Afghanistan issue

Monitoring, June 19 (INP): UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the only solution to the conflict in Afghanistan is through an inclusive political process. He stated this after Taliban's rejection of extension of ceasefire offer of the Afghan government. Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General's Spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, in a regular briefing in New York has expressed disappointment over the rejection of extension in ceasefire by Taliban and said people of Afghanistan need peace and reconciliation.
