Monitoring, Dec 25 (INP) – Pakistani Leg-spinner Shadab Khan and Fast Bowler Mohammad Abbas have been declared unfit for the first Test match against South Africa that begins on December 26 in Centurion in South Africa, according to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Reportedly, the decision has been made when Pakistan team management conducted physical assessment of the players.
Furthermore, the notification stated that both players have been improving; however, they are expected to continue their current rehabilitation procedure.
“If all goes according to the plan, the team management is positive that both players will be available for selection for the second Test in Cape Town that begins on January 3,” it concluded.
The board is yet to provide the final lineup but it is now certain that Abbas and Shadab will not be included in the team for the first match.
