MOGADISHU, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and more than ten others injured after a massive car bomb exploded at a busy checkpoint in Somali capital Mogadishu on Wednesday morning, witnesses said.
The witnesses said the attacker drove a car laden with explosives into the Sayidka junction, a checkpoint as vehicles lined up for security search at around 10 a.m..

Efforts are underway to rescue the victims, mostly commuters who were going to their places of work. ■
