KARACHI, Sep 17 (INP) – Pakistani pop icon Zoheb Hassan has threatened to take legal action if any makes film on the life of his sister and famous singer Nazia Hassan.

In a facebook post, the artist pointed that Nazia’s ex-husband Ishtiaq Baig has intentions to gain fame through her name.

Zoheb Hassan statement reads: “The Hassan family has come to know that Nazia s ex-husband is trying to make a film on her life so he can feature himself and further profit from her name and fame.”

“Anyone entertaining this individual shall be duly and legally sued by our family as he has no legal right or basis to do so,” he warned.

“Furthermore we hold full publishing rights of all our music worldwide and any attempted infringement of our catalogue shall be subject to legal cost and consequence,” he added.

Renowned Pakistani pop star Nazia Hassan died approximately two decades ago. She started her career and became popular within a very short time period.

Nazia’s all songs were famous but Aap jaisa koi, Boom Boom, Dosti and Disco Deewane were among best ever numbers.

In 1995, she married businessman Ishtiaq Baig, from whom she had a son, Arez Hassan.

The most controversial aspect of Nazia’s life was that her marriage ended in a divorce just ten days before her death.

Later in an interview, Zoheb Hassan had revealed that Nazia’s personal life was filled with turmoil and she fought personal battles incessantly.
