Pakistan’s well-known cricket Imad Wasim has once again become the center of attention, but this time not because of cricket. On Monday, Imad revealed through an Instagram post that he has remarried. He announced that he has tied the knot with Nyla, a woman he says has brought “calm, dignity, and strength” into his life.

Around two months ago, Imad had shared that he filed for divorce from his first wife due to repeated conflicts that could not be resolved despite years of effort. At that time, he requested the public to respect his privacy and avoid sharing old couple pictures.

In his latest statement, Imad spoke openly about going through one of the hardest chapters of his life. He admitted that his previous marriage did not work out, but said it gave him the greatest blessings, his children. He expressed unconditional love for them and stated that nothing will ever change his bond with them.

Imad also acknowledged that he stayed in the relationship longer than he should have, hoping things would improve. He admitted that his silence and delay created a situation where an innocent person faced criticism unfairly. He took full responsibility for that and said he carries regret and remorse over how things unfolded.

He further shared that with the guidance of his parents and the grace of Allah, he has now married Nyla with clear intentions of building a life based on peace, stability, and mutual respect. He also requested people to treat his personal life with dignity, adding that not every chapter deserves public debate.

However, the announcement has sparked major backlash online. Many people recalled the earlier controversy when Imad Wasim was first spotted with influencer Nyla Raja in London. At the time, Nyla denied the rumors and explained that she coincidentally met him in a shop and took a selfie only because he was a Pakistani cricketer. She even called the claims “allegations,” but after the marriage announcement, the public discussion has intensified even more.

Social media users have heavily criticized Imad, with some saying that after failing to impress as a cricketer, he has now disappointed people as a husband and father as well. Actress Mishi Khan also reacted strongly, commenting that if someone already knows they cannot maintain a relationship, they should think twice before having children. Many of Imad’s supporters have expressed disappointment and frustration over his personal decisions.

Several public figures also reacted to the situation. Sania Ashfaq posted an Instagram story implying that “now everyone has seen the proof,” indirectly fueling the controversy further.

Meanwhile, another topic that caught attention was Nyla Raja’s wedding outfit. For her big day, she chose to wear a bridal dress designed by Haris Shakeel. The designer later shared her wedding shoot but added a clear statement in his caption, saying that they have nothing to do with Nyla Raja’s personal life and are not supporting her. He emphasized that the post should be viewed only from a fashion perspective and kept strictly about the outfit.

Despite Imad Wasim’s request for privacy, his remarriage continues to spark debate online, with public opinion divided and emotions running high.
