A house of a Dalit community was set ablaze in Telangana state of India. A house, belonging to a Dalit man, was set ablaze over his inter-caste marriage in Manchurian district of the State. The incident has triggered outrage in the locality.
The house of a couple, identified as Surender and Anjali, was set on fire with the help of kerosene by the upper caste of Hindus. The duo escaped unhurt as they were out of the house when the incident occurred.
The Hindu assailants used axes and sticks during the attack and poured kerosene and set the house on fire, causing a property damage of worth Rs 5 lakh.
