Srinagar: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir early Monday morning, triggering strong tremors across the Kashmir Valley.According to Kashmir Media Service, the quake occurred at 5:35 am at a depth of 10 kilometers, with its epicentre located in Budgam district (33.9°N, 74.76°E). Tremors were felt in Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, and Charar-i-Sharief, prompting residents to rush out of their homes. There were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage to property.
