A suicide-and-gun attack targeting a security forces camp in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, was foiled on Friday, resulting in the deaths of four Khwarij terrorists, security sources confirmed.Militants affiliated with a Khawarij group attempted to carry out a suicide bombing at a military installation in the Mir Ali area.One militant rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the camp's perimeter wall, triggering a powerful blast. Following the explosion, three more militants tried to storm the facility.

However, alert personnel from the security forces responded swiftly and bravely, killing all three attackers before they could enter the compound. No casualties or injuries were reported among the security forces. Officials confirmed that the proactive and courageous action by Pakistani troops averted a major tragedy.In the past two days alone, 88 militants affiliated with Khawarij, supported by the Afghan Taliban, have been neutralised in various security operations, according to military sources.

As part of the National Action Plan (NAP), the Pakistan Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies remain resolute in their mission to eliminate every last terrorist from the country.Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the successful operation in Mir Ali and lauded the professionalism and courage of the security personnel involved.In a statement, Naqvi commended the soldiers who thwarted the terrorists’ malicious intentions, saying the nation salutes the bravery of its defenders.
