In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, health workers staged a protest in Langate area of Kupwara district against pending dues.According to Kashmir Media Service, the health workers also known as Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) have sent a strong message to authorities, staging a fiery protest outside the Block Medical Officer Langate’s office.
The workers are fed up with the long wait for their pending incentives, which has left them struggling financially despite Eidul Fitr approaching fast.“We’ve been waiting for too long, and it’s unacceptable,” said one protester. “We demand our dues be cleared immediately.”The protest caught the attention of MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed, who intervened and assured the workers their payments would be settled before Eid. The health workers have called off their protest following the assurance.
