Multiple bomb threats reported across India Breaking

July 16, 2025

Multiple bomb threats have surfaced and unsettled institutions across India this week, with the Bombay Stock Exchange, St Stephen’s College, part of Delhi University, and St Thomas School in Dwarka receiving threats on Tuesday. Students and staff from both educational institutions were immediately evacuated, and emergency response teams, including the Delhi Police Bomb Squad, Dog Squad, Fire Brigade, and Special Staff, were deployed in these areas.

“So far, the police have not found anything suspicious at either place,” police officials said. Search operations are currently underway. No explosive materials or suspicious items have been recovered as of the latest reports. In a separate incident, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in Maharashtra’s capital also received a bomb threat via email, and no explosives were found.

The email came from an ID named “Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan” and said four RDX bombs would go off at 3 PM. Further investigation into the case is underway. Three prominent schools in Delhi had received hoax bomb threats on Monday, wherein no suspicious items were found.
