The New Delhi-installed administration, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has attached three more civilian properties under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in Budgam district of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The police, acting on the orders of the occupation regime, attached ancestral properties including a double-storey residential house with premises belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Chopan; a double-storey residential house along with 5 kanals and 13 marlas of land belonging to Mohammad Yousuf Malik; and 19.5 marlas of agricultural land belonging to Bilal Ahmad Wani in the Harwani, Chewa, and Khag areas of Budgam district.
Since the illegal abrogation of IOJK’s special status in August 2019, the BJP-led government has intensified its campaign to dispossess Kashmiris of their homes and lands. This policy is aimed at economically weakening the people of Kashmir.
