The Srinagar- Jammu highway, the only all-weather road linking the Kashmir Valley with the rest of world, has been closed due to shooting stones triggered by heavy rains at several places in Ramban district. According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said vehicular movement has been completely halted as a precautionary measure.They added that the highway remains blocked at Monkey Morh and Maroog while restoration work is underway. Authorities have advised commuters to avoid travelling on the route until weather conditions improve and the road is cleared.
