Restrictions have been beefed up in Jammu and Poonch districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s arrival on a two-day visit.According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said during his two-day stay in the Jammu region, Amit Shah will visit religious places and will also meet Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in the district. Additional Indian soldiers have been deployed around the Governor House in Jammu, where Indian Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a high-level meeting, they said.
In Poonch, hectic checking of vehicles and frisking of people is taking place, they said, adding that checkpoints have been set up at entry and exit points to keep a vigil on the movement of vehicles. After an overnight stay in Jammu, Amit Shah will fly to Poonch on Friday and interact with people during his visit. He will also visit religious places, including Singh Sabha Gurudwara, and hold a meeting with officers. The home minister will also visit the BSF camp in Poonch and interact with Indian soldiers.
