Two IRGC members killed in attack in Iran’s Kordestan provinceBreaking

Two members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed and three others injured during an overnight clash with armed terrorits in the western city of Sarvabad, Kordestan province, the Guards confirmed on Tuesday.

According to the Beit al-Moqaddas unit of the IRGC, the assault occurred late Monday when attackers threw a grenade at a Guard post near Hezbollah Square in Sarvabad.The incident resulted in the deaths of cleric Alireza Valizadeh and Ayoub Shiri, both described as local security personnel.

Three others sustained injuries and were hospitalized.The unit condemned the attackers, blaming “mercenary terrorists linked to global arrogance,” a phrase often used by Iranian authorities to refer to Western-backed or foreign-funded groups.In an official statement, the Revolutionary Guards said the attack would not weaken Iran’s resolve to protect its citizens.
