India’s paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday conducted a special training programme for Village Defence Guards (VDGs), notorious for killing pro-freedom Kashmiri Muslim  civilians,  in Samba and other border districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. 

According to Kashmir Media Service, the training programme underway on war-footing scale, along the Line of Control and Working Boundary areas focuses on identifying pro-freedom people  and eliminating them as has been done by the erstwhile village defence committees in the past.  

An official of the Border Security Force said the BSF teams has also imparted similar training to the VDGs at Arnia and Gadkhal in Jammu sector. The VDGs, who are mostly associated with Hindutva organizations like RSS, were given essential training in firearms handling and surveillance methods, the official said.
