Chinese Consulate Karachi Consul General Li Bijian has conferred award “Friends in Pakistan” 2022 to Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR) President Yasir Habib Khan along with 37 Pakistani nationals in a ceremony held at Chinese Consulate in Karachi. Certificate of these awards have been given in recognition of wide range of Pakistani academicians ,scholars and media practitioners. On the occasion Chinese Karachi Consul General Li Bijian said that awardees are vanguards of China-Pakistan friendship as through their diverse medium of communications and expressions, they are exerting their energies to sensitize people of Pakistan about China’s peaceful image, its working style & relationship, its philosophy and vision.

Given the mind-polluting environment highly poisoned by misinformation and disinformation, they have joined hands with China to debunk the fake propaganda distinguishing false from truth, he added. “China never had a model of socialist governance system in the world to follow. China did not know about ups and downs of applicability and practicality of political dispensation. China was also unaware of looking drawbacks and backlash that had to be incurred on social and economic life. Almost everything from head to toe was unpracticed. But China learnt by doing and made a successful story as a trailblazer,” he added.

Let me tell you, he said that all credit goes to multi-party system of China in which Communist Party of China (CPC) is at its core guiding China to proceed with flying color. People-centric vision anchors each and every policy and strategy because people are the only stakeholders supposed to be served making their lives better, progressive, smooth and peaceful, he added. He mentioned COVID 19 time as worst period for China as globally myriad vicious campaign were launched to demonize Chinese fairness, honesty and credibility. Even now doomsayers are hell-bent to undermine China for their vested interest.

He said categorically that China will never succumb to any insidiousness as false is always destined to fall and truth triumph over evil. On the occasion, IIRMR President Yasir Habib Khan said that CPEC, another feather in the cap of Pak-China Relations, should be elevated to special status of National Policy Matters that are never subject to any change of government and fluctuation of geo-political, geo-economic and geo-strategic situation within Pakistan as well as international spectrum as Pakistan has done with Nuclear Program.

He also underlined the need to rephrase the narrative of Pak-China relations as “Romanticism of Trust, “Romanticism of Faith” and “Romanticism of Harmony”. He said that Pakistan media houses must continue their fight against mischief mongers and urged upon increasing intensity of people to people contact besides improving media cooperation for a healthy Pak-China working relationship and friendliness.
