November 28, 2025

The 3rd International ‘FoodAg Pakistan 2025’ concluded with record-breaking trade outcomes, as more than 5,000 targeted B2B meetings generated USD 641 million in confirmed deals, according to a statement issued by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

The three-day event, held from November 25 to 27 at Expo Center Karachi, also resulted in 21 agreements, including new export pipelines to China valued at USD 33.9 million, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.

As per TDAP’s highlights the Chinese delegates were among the most active participants at the exhibition, with Pakistani and Chinese companies finalizing several seafood export contracts.

A separate memorandum of understanding for the export of heat-treated meat to China marked another step toward expanding Pakistan’s footprint in the Chinese agri-food market.

The authority noted that agreements were also reached with a wide range of other international partners.

These included Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Iran, covering products such as sesame, rice, eggs, wheat flour, salt, olive oil, cereals, bakery goods, corn, oilseeds and other value-added food items.

TDAP said Day 2 of the event saw particularly active dealmaking, with exhibitors showcasing innovations and foreign buyers assessing partnership opportunities across Pakistan’s agro-food value chains.

Officials said the momentum reflects growing global confidence in Pakistan’s export capabilities and its expanding role in regional food supply networks.

The event hosted over 370 Pakistani exhibitors and more than 850 foreign delegates from 80-plus countries.

The 3rd edition of FoodAg Pakistan was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, who emphasized the agri-food sector’s strong potential to drive export-led economic growth.

Throughout the exhibition, high-level meetings, government-to-government engagements and discussions on sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) cooperation remained key agenda points.

The Global Cuisine Show, featuring Michelin-recognized chefs, also drew strong international interest.
