Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture, Multan (MNSUAM), in collaboration with Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical University and Tang Chinese Education and Technology, China, has launched the China–Pakistan Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Academy on its campus. The academy was inaugurated during a visit by a five-member Chinese delegation from Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical University and Tang Chinese Education and Technology Ltd. to MNSUAM, Gwadar Pro reports.
During the visit, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and agreed to deepen cooperation in digital agriculture, food security, seed innovation, and agricultural biotechnology. Following the inauguration, the Chinese experts participated in a workshop titled “Multan Animal Health Techniques & Disease Prevention/Control.” They discussed improvements in feed nutrition, animal disease diagnosis and prevention, and conducted field demonstrations on efficient animal breeding techniques.
Dr. Junaid Ali Khan further noted that MNSUAM and Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical University are already offering a three-year Livestock Assistant Diploma under a 2+1 study plan, with students completing the first two years in Multan and the final year in China. “Next year, the first batch of our students will proceed to Xinjiang to complete their final year,” he said.
