Chinese delegation stands out at Karachi’s FoodAg ExhibitionBreaking

November 26, 2025

China fielded the largest foreign delegation at Karachi’s 3rd International Food and Agriculture Exhibition, an event that drew strong global participation as Pakistan seeks to expand cooperation in one of its most promising sectors. Officials from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) said the gathering underscored the country’s push to build a more competitive and export-oriented food and agriculture industry.

Delegates from multiple regions travelled to Karachi to explore new business avenues and strengthen existing trade ties, they said according to a Gwadar Pro's report on Wednesday. The exhibition featured discussions on modern farming practices, value addition and shifting global market trends. Companies showcased products ranging from fresh produce to agricultural machinery and technology.

Members of the Chinese delegation told Gwadar Pro the expo offered a clearer view of Pakistan’s agricultural potential and opened space for engagement with local partners. They said the event could support deeper cooperation in food processing, technology transfer and agricultural trade.

Participants said they expect the exhibition to generate new commercial opportunities and build momentum for future collaboration. FoodAg 2025, organised by TDAP, runs from Nov. 25–27 at the Karachi Expo Centre and features more than 500 exhibitors and over 800 international buyers under the theme “Harvesting Innovation, Cultivating Sustainability.”
