Chinese company Hangeng Trade Company has donated Rs1 million to the Rural Community Development Centre (RCDC) Club Gwadar as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday. Hangeng, a pharmaceutical firm operating in the Gwadar North Free Zone, said the funds will be used to support the Annual Book Festival 2026, which began on January 29.

The company has made a series of contributions aimed at promoting the socio-economic development of the local community. It has sponsored youth participation in football and cricket tournaments and is working to establish a Sino-Pak Agricultural Industrial Park to boost agricultural productivity through the use of modern technology.

In addition, Hangeng has partnered with the University of Gwadar to create employment and scholarship opportunities, helping to strengthen local human capital and skills development.
