A total of 41 students from Balochistan have been selected for the Chinese Ambassador Special Scholarship for Balochistan (Phase III), a fully funded program offering four-year undergraduate studies in HEC-recognized institutions across Pakistan. The initiative, launched under the joint collaboration between China and Pakistan, aims to expand higher education opportunities for students from Balochistan while contributing to the province’s educational and economic development, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.
It is part of the broader project titled “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan & Erstwhile FATA.” Selection was made on merit and district quota, with 50% of the seats reserved for female students and 2% for students with disabilities, promoting inclusivity and equal opportunity.
At the award ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir presented the scholarship letters to the selected candidates, commending their academic achievements and dedication. Earlier, in February 2025, 34 students were awarded the scholarship under Phase II, marking the continued success and expansion of this educational initiative.
