100 best Punjab schools to get Rs100 million prize Breaking

Rs100 million cash prize has been announced by Punjab government for 100 best schools selected from 36 districts across the province. According to the report, all schools will be given Rs1 million each for their best performance. Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and Punjab Education Initiative Management Authority (Peima) schools outsourced by the government will also be given prizes. 

The schools will be inspected by a third party. Prizes will be awarded for the best results, infrastructure, classrooms and provision of basic amenities.School heads will be able to spend the funds on the welfare of the institution and children as they wish. Meanwhile, third phase of contracting out schools temporarily halted. According to Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, outsourcing of schools has been halted for 2 months.

The third phase of contracting out schools was to start from October 5, 2025. Rana Sikandar Hayat said two months are required for the schools contracted out in Phase 2 to become stable  He said the third phase will be started only after the already outsourced schools are stable.
