As many as 12 people were martyred while 20 were injured in a blast outside Islamabad’s G-11 Kutchehry on Tuesday.According to media reports, a large number of policemen and personnel of other law-enforcement agencies rushed to the blast site and cordoned off the area. They started collecting evidence and also found the severed head of the alleged suicide bomber. All the injured, some of them serious, were shifted to the PIMS Hospital.

Earlier it reported that several people were seriously injured after a car cylinder exploded outside the Islamabad Kutchehry on Tuesday. Alerted by a loud sound, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot.Videos of the incident on social media showed flames and plumes of smoke rising into the air from the remains of a charred vehicle behind a security barrier.

“As I parked my car and entered the complex … I heard a loud bang on the gate,” lawyer Rustam Malik told after the blast, which sent people fleeing and damaged vehicles in the area.“It was complete chaos, lawyers and people were running inside the complex. I saw two dead bodies lying on the gate and several cars were on fire,” said Malik, one of the witnesses who spoke.
