Police miserably failed to take any action against 13 accused who cut off nose and ear of a young man over suspicion of his illicit relations with a girl in Kot Mithan. The incident took place in Mauza Barosabad in Kot Mithan in South Punjab. The young man was later identified as Mohammad Bukhsh.

Later, the accused opened fire on Muhammad Bukhsh, after which he became critically injured. All the accused escaped from the scene after committing the crime. The family of the victim said that the police showed helplessness in this case, as 13 accused brutally tortured the young man.
