As many as 17 passengers who were travelling in the Musa Pak train received serious injuries when the train met with an accident due to negligence and inefficiency of Pakistan Railways staff at Mian Channu. According to the details, the accident occurred when a signal sleeper hit stairs of the Musa Pak train.
Soon after receiving the report, Rescue 1122 reached the site of the incident and provided first aid to four critically injured persons on the spot and shifted the remaining 13 passengers to Civil Hospital after providing them first aid for further treatment.
The injured persons are Ali Murtaza, aged 42, Suleman 28, Ghulam Zamin 45, Mubasshir 32, Mehmood 36, Asif 22, Afzal 37, Saleem 30, Awais 25, Wazir 50, Iqbal 50, Asghar 50, Haleema 15, Usman 41, Ramzan 62 and an unidentified person who was 28-year-old.
